The Summer Reading Club is open to all ages!

The TD Summer Reading Club is Canada's biggest, bilingual summer reading program for kids of all ages, all interests and all abilities. This free program is co-created and delivered by more than 2,000 public libraries across Canada. It celebrates Canadian authors, illustrators, and stories. It's designed to inspire kids to explore the fun of reading their way - the key to building a lifelong love of reading.

How Do I Register for the TD Summer Reading Club?

    Important Dates

The Summer Reading Club begins on Friday, June 21st with regular prize draws at each of our branches every other week and a grand prize draw at the end of the Summer Reading Club on Thursday, August 15th.

    How It Works

The club is designed for kids aged 0 to 18 years old. Kids can participate online anytime, anywhere - wherever summer takes you. Read stories and explore activities to spark your curiosity, and enjoy special online programs. For every book read this summer, write it in your TD Summer Reading Club booklet and you will get a ballot for each one. Register at your nearest branch.

    Getting Started

It's easy to join in and have fun this summer:

    1. Visit your nearest King Township Public Library branch to register and get your TD Summer Reading Club materials.
    2. Read books, and record the titles in your booklet.
    3. Bring your booklet to your nearest branch to get a ballot for each book read this summer.
    4. Enter your ballots for our regular prize draws.

    Prizes

Our prize draws run every 2 weeks in each branch, the more you read the more ballots you earn and the more entries you have into each draw. So be sure to track every book you read this summer! But don't worry all you have to do is register for the TD Summer Reading Club Challenge at your nearest branch.

The more you read, and the more activities you complete, the more chances you have to win!

    Summer Programming

We have so many exciting programs and activities happening this summer! For the summer of 2024, we will be offering summer programming from July 2 through August with new programs each week! Check back here to see the release of our Summer Programming Guide.

Please note:  While we will endeavour to avoid it, due to unprecedented staffing shortages, unexpected program cancellations may occur. In the event of a cancellation, we will make every effort to contact registrants by phone or email as soon as possible.
